MONROE, La. – Erika Cheung has been named the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator at ULM, Athletics Director
Scott McDonald announced Thursday. Cheung joins the athletics department on August 18.
"We are so fortunate to have someone of Erika's experience and talent join our staff," McDonald said. "She is a welcome addition to ULM Athletics and a real difference maker for our student-athletes, coaches and campus community. We are all delighted she is a Warhawk."
Cheung comes to ULM from Tulane, where she worked in compliance for five years. After spending two years as compliance assistant, she was promoted to Assistant Director of NCAA Compliance in August 2018. She oversaw all recruiting practices as well as the playing and practice seasons of student-athletes. She worked closely with coaches and staff to aid the development of recruiting programs and helped guide student-athletes through their time management plans.

While in law school, she served as a compliance assistant at Tulane from 2016-18 and held internships with the UC Irvine compliance office and Copenbarger & Copenbarger law firm in Irvine, California.
A native of Mission Viejo, California, Cheung earned her bachelor's degree in political communications with a certificate in business foundations from the University of Texas in 2015 before graduating from Tulane University Law School with her Juris Doctor in May 2018.
