Gammon Introduced as Assistant AD for Sports Administration

MONROE, La. – Michael Gammon has been named Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Administration and will oversee ULM's athletics facilities and game-day management, according to an announcement from Athletics Director Scott McDonald.
 
Gammon returns to Monroe after two-plus years at Marucci Sports as a team sales representative.
 
He previously spent time at ULM as a graduate assistant for athletics, and the director of baseball operations under head coach Michael Federico during the 2018 baseball season as well as an academic counselor for athletes during the 2018-19 academic year.
 
"We're excited to have Michael Gammon return to ULM," McDonald said. "He made a positive impact in his previous roles on campus and we are happy to have him back in an expanded role with the athletics department."
 
"I'm thrilled to have an opportunity to come back to Monroe to work for Scott McDonald," Gammon said. "Scott has a lot of good things going on and there is a lot of buzz around ULM Athletics right now. I look forward to joining the athletics department and contributing to the success of ULM."
 
Originally from Chandler, Arizona, Gammon played junior college baseball at Chandler-Gilbert Community College and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree with high honors and an Associate of Business degree in 2015.
 
Following his time at CGCC, he went on to play at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. Following another arm injury, he was asked to join the coaching staff as a student assistant coach for the Aggies. He graduated from NMSU in May 2017 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
 
Gammon earned a master's degree in science of sport management from ULM in 2018. 
 
He is joined in Monroe by his dog, Presley.
