MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team plays a pair of matches this week, visiting I-20 foe Louisiana Tech at 2 p.m. Wednesday before rounding out the week with Nicholls at 10 a.m. Saturday at Heard Stadium.
The Warhawks (1-1) are coming off a 5-2 loss at Houston on Friday. Junior
Hala Badwy picked up a 7-6 (4), 7-6 (6) win at No. 1 singles over Houston's Laura Slisane to move to 2-0 in singles play in the spring schedule. Senior
Brianna Gomez won her spring debut at No. 5 singles over UH's Blanca Cortijo Parreno, 7-6 (5), 6-3.
Louisiana Tech enters Wednesday's match at 2-2 on the season after dropping a 4-3 decision at Stephen F. Austin on Saturday. Nicholls opened its dual season on Friday with a 7-0 win at Loyola New Orleans.
