Warhawks Finish Third at Lady Red Wolves Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. –
The ULM women's golf team finished third at the Lady Red Wolves Classic on Tuesday at Sage Meadows Golf Club.
 
After leading the tournament through two rounds, the Warhawks struggled to an 18-over-par round of 306, finishing 1-over-par for the tournament at 865 (279-280-306). Central Arkansas won the team title at 1-under-par 863 (288-282-293), while Arkansas State shot even-par 864 (289-283-292) to place second.
 
Freshman Anna Andrysova earned her third consecutive Top-10 finish to open her collegiate career and second straight Top-5 placing, tying for fourth at 3-under-par 213 (68-70-75). She shot a 3-over-par round of 75 on Tuesday, finishing with a birdie on the par-4 10th and 14 pars. She was nine shots off the pace of Arkansas State's Olivia Schmidt, who won individual medalist honors at 12-under-par 204 (67-69-68).
 
Chantal Dueringer tied for 11th at even-par 216 (71-68-77). She shot 5-over-par 77 on Tuesday, earning a birdie on the par-5 18th to go with 12 pars.
 
Alessia Mengoni and Johanna Sjursen were part of a tie for 33rd at 6-over-par 222. Mengoni (76-69-77) shot 5-over-par 77 on Tuesday, sinking a birdie on the opening par-5 third and had 11 pars. Sjursen (66-79-77) led the team with three birdies on Tuesday, coming on the par-4 fourth, par-4 14th and par-4 17th, and had nine pars, but finished the round at 5-over-par 77.
 
Line Petersen tied for 44th at 9-over-par 225 (74-73-78). She had 13 pars in the final round.
 
The Warhawks return to action Monday at the Little Rock Golf Classic in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
