FOLEY, Alabama – The ULM men's cross country team was sixth and the women's team finished eighth Friday at the Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championship at Graham Creek Nature Preserve.
In the women's 5K race, ULM was eighth with a score of 210. Southern Miss won the team title with 44 points.
Kimone Campbell paced the Warhawk women, finishing 28th in 18:26.3. Paula Vaquera Cervantes followed close behind in 32nd at 18:30.7. Eliana Battle finished 40th in 18:43.5. Anna Naff was 46th in 18:57.2. Ansley Long wrapped up the team scoring in 64th place at 19:45.1.
Running in her first event of the year, Amanda Radava was 68th in 20:03.3 Jalynn Lozano placed 76th in 20:32.5.
In the men's race, ULM was sixth with a score of 190 points. Arkansas State won the team crown with 32 points.
Juwan Blignaut led the team in the 8K race in 26th place in 25:53.7. Brayden Ortiz followed just behind Blignaut, finishing 31st in 26:11.3. Teddy Gowen came in 33rd at 26:32.0. Rojs Puks claimed 44th in 27:13.3. Jay Parker concluded the team scoring, placing 56th, in 28:27.7.
Also in the men's race, Reid Guirlando was 58th in 28:57.1, while Jaylen Wade was 60th in 32:03.3.
