PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – Melan Dhaubhadel remained in fourth place individually and the ULM men's golf team is sixth after the second round of the White Sands Bahamas Invitational Saturday at Ocean Club Golf Course.
Dhaubhadel shot 3-under-par 69 to move to 8-under-par 136 (67-69) through the first two rounds, three shots behind UTEP's Max Schliesing, who leads the field at 11-under-par 133 (66-67). Starting on the eighth hole, he birdied the par-3 eighth, par-5 13th, par-4 first and par-5 sixth holes while adding 13 pars.
The Warhawks are sixth overall at 11-under-par 565 (282-283) after shooting a 5-under-par 283 on Saturday. Duke leads the tournament at 29-under-par 547 (276-271). ULM is six shots behind second-place Southern Miss at 17-under-par 559 (279-280).
Otto Van Buynder is tied for 12th at 5-under-par 139 (68-71). He shot 1-under-par 71 on Saturday. Starting on the ninth hole, he birdied the par-4 ninth, par-3 12th, 13th and par-4 fifth holes while sinking 11 pars.
Jacob Agerschou is tied for 28th after firing a round of 2-under-par 70 to sit at 1-under-par 143 (73-70) for the tournament. Starting on the ninth hole, he earned an eagle on the 13th and birdies on the par-4 15th, first and par-5 second holes and had 11 pars.
Mikkel Schmitt shot 1-over-par 73 to round out the team scoring on Saturday and is at 3-over-par 147 (74-73) for the tournament to tie for 49th. Starting on the 10th hole, he birdied the 15th, par-5 16th, fifth and par-4 seventh holes and had 10 pars.
Theis Poulsen is tied for 60th after shooting 5-over-par 77 to move to 7-over-par 151 (74-77) on the tournament. He birdied the par-5 sixth and had 11 pars on Saturday.
The Warhawks are paired with Sam Houston and Stetson on the final day of the tournament and tee off on the fourth through seventh holes at 8 a.m. EDT/7 a.m. CDT Sunday. A link to live scoring is available on the men's golf schedule page at ULMWarhawks.com.
