Warhawks Ready for Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships

MONROE, La. - The ULM men's and women's indoor track and field teams compete at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, Monday and Tuesday. Events begin with the heptathlon at 9 a.m. Monday, with field events getting underway at 12 p.m. and track events starting at 4:35 p.m. at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
 
The heptathlon resumes at 9 a.m. Tuesday with field events at noon and track events at 2 p.m.
 
Live streaming of the meet is on ESPN+ both days.
 
The Warhawks are coming off the Bulldog Open in Birmingham, where the teams combined for 11 Top-3 finishes. The ULM men's and women's teams broke nine personal-bests in less than two hours.
 
On the men's side, Keith Robinson clocked a personal-best 6.77 in the men's 60-meter dash - good for the second-best time in the conference - and is this week's SBC Men's Track Athlete of the Week. Ali Eren Unlu claimed second place in the high jump, clearing 6-8 3/4. Jhavonte Perry set a new personal best in the 60 in 6.93, placing fifth. Devin Bilbo also set a new personal best in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.23 and placed fifth.
 
For the women, Brianna Sam reset her indoor weight throw record to 68-7 1/4 and also broke the Samford Bulldog Open meet record. Kimone Campbell ran 2:13.94 to set the women's indoor 800 school record. Fiebe Tengrootenhuysen reset her 400 indoor school record down to 56.11. Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi won the triple jump for her second title this season. Jasmine Williams placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a new personal-best of 8.59 and is 0.01 seconds away from breaking the school record. Rebekka Schubert also placed second in the long jump with a leap of 18-10 1/2. Teammate Khrystyan Reddic got third in the long jump with a jump of 18-9 3/4, while Mbuyi placed fourth at 18-8. Brianna Washington was second in the shot put with a throw of 45-1. Hannah Blood competed for the first time this season, coming off an injury and finishing third in the weight throw at 54-11 1/2.
