RUSTON, La. – The ULM tennis team lost Wednesday's dual at I-20 rival Louisiana Tech, 4-3, at the LA Tech Tennis Complex.
The Lady Techsters claimed the doubles point and then split the singles matches with the Warhawks (1-2) to earn the win.
LA Tech opened the day with a win at No. 1 doubles as Ana Rodrigues and Leonie Schuknecht defeated ULM junior

In singles, LA Tech pushed the lead to 2-0 when Tetruashvili defeated Grigoriu at No. 5, 6-1, 6-3. Gomez won a point back for ULM at No. 3, winning 6-3, 6-3 over Rodrigues. LA Tech sealed the dual with Schuknecht's win over Badwy at No. 1, 6-4, 6-4, and Bienzobas' victory against Anghel at No. 2, 6-1, 7-6 (9). The Warhawks won the final two points of the match with sophomore
Giovanna Pereira defeating Romero at No. 6, 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (10), and Dawson retired before the tiebreaker against Garbino at No. 4.
ULM returns home to Heard Stadium for a 2 p.m. dual on Saturday vs. Nicholls.
