MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team heads north to face Central Arkansas at 2 p.m. Saturday and then hosts regional rival Northwestern State at Heard Stadium at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the final scheduled non-conference duals of the 2022 season.
The Warhawks (2-5) are looking to snap a three-match slide following Sunday's 7-0 loss at No. 34 Ole Miss.
In singles play this spring, ULM players have combined for a 17-24 mark. Senior
Brianna Gomez is 3-0 in singles play, picking up two wins as the No. 3 player and one as the No. 5. Junior
Hala Badwy is the only other player with a winning record, sitting at 4-3 win two wins as the No. 1 player and two at No. 2.
Seniors
Jimena Paula Garbino and
Madalina Grigoriu have each won three matches. Garbino has played all of her matches as the No. 4 player. Grigoriu has two wins as the No. 3 player and one at No. 6.
Sophomore
Giovanna Pereira and freshman
Alessandra Anghel have each won two singles matches. Anghel has one victory each at No. 1 and No. 2, while Pereira has won at both No. 5 and No. 6.
In doubles action, ULM is a combined 6-12. Anghel and Badwy have played the most matches together, pairing six times and picking up two wins as the No. 1 duo. The pairings of junior
