MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team closed the regular season and celebrated Senior Day with a 4-1 win over Texas State Sunday morning at Heard Stadium.
Before the match, the team recognized seniors

Madalina Grigoriu.
Texas State opened with a win in the doubles point. ULM's
Oleksandra Balaba and Gomez won on court three, 6-4, over Sofia Fortuno and Kylee Shannon. The Bobcats bounced back with a win on court one as Hana Kvapilova and Kate Malazonia defeated
Giovanna Pereira and Grigoriu, 6-4. Texas State claimed the point on court two as Mae McCutcheon and Jadeh Chan outlasted
Daniela Hernandez and
Hala Badwy, 7-6 (11-9).
In singles play,
Alessandra Anghel won on court two against Malazonia, 6-3, 7-5. Gomez wrapped up her final match at Heard Stadium with a 6-3, 6-4 win over McCutcheon on court three. Balaba earned a win on court four against Fortuno, 6-4, 6-3. Hernandez also picked up a victory on court six over Renata Gonzalez, 6-0, 6-2.
ULM is now off until the start of the Sun Belt Conference Championship on April 21 in Peachtree City, Georgia.
