Dueringer Tied for Sixth, ULM Women’s Golf Ninth After 36 Holes at SBC Championship

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – ULM junior Chantal Dueringer, who carded a 2-over-par 74 Monday, is tied with five other players for sixth place at 4-over 148 on the individual leaderboard after 36 holes at the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship. Dueringer, who matched her opening-round score of 74, trails tournament-leader Georgia Southern's Sarunchana Rattanasin, who sits at 2-under-par 142 (72-70), by six shots.
 
As a team, ULM shot a combined 16-over-par 304 in the second round and slipped three spots into ninth in the team standings at 31-over 607 (303-304). Teams three through nine on the leaderboard are separated by only eight strokes at the par-72, 6,283-yard LPGA International Hills Course. Georgia Southern (294-299 – 593, +17) enters the third round with a two-shot advantage over second-place Coastal Carolina (303-292 – 595, +19) in the 11-team field.
 
Dueringer opened the second round with seven pars on the front nine and made the turn at 2-over 38. She posted an even-par 36 on the back nine with five pars and a pair of birdies, coming at the 14th and 16th holes. Through 36 holes, Dueringer has recorded four birdies and 24 pars.
 
ULM sophomore Alessia Mengoni fired a 4-over-par 76 Monday and sits in a six-way tied for 16th place at 7-over 151. Mengoni shot a 2-over 38 on the front nine with birdies at the second and fourth holes to go along with four pars. She matched the 2-over 38 on the back nine with a birdie at No. 13 and six more pars. Her two-round totals include four birdies and 24 pars.
 
Sophomore Charlotte Fourdraine made ULM's largest climb on the individual leaderboard, advancing seven places into a three-way tie for 32nd at 10-over-par 154 (78-76). Fourdraine trimmed two strokes off her opening-round score of 78 by posting a 4-over 76 Monday. She carded a 2-over 38 on the front nine with a birdie at the eighth hole and five pars. Fourdraine opened the back nine with back-to-back birdies at holes 10 and 11, managed five consecutive pars on holes 13-17 for a 2-over 38. Through 36 holes, she has tallied three birdies and 21 pars.
 
Dueringer, Mengoni and Fourdraine are tied with two other golfers for the best par-5 scoring in the 54-player field at minus-2 each (4.75).
 
Sophomore Line Petersen, who shot a 6-over-par 78 in the second round, is tied with seven other golfers for 36th place at 11-over 155 (77-78). After carding a 5-over 41 on the front nine Monday, Petersen rebounded to post a 1-over 37 on the back nine, thanks to a birdie at No. 17 to go along with six pars. After two rounds, her totals include two birdies and 24 pars.
 
Fifth-year senior Jahaanvie Walia enters the final round with a 36-hole score of 14-over-par 158 (77-81). Her tournament totals include 23 pars.
 
ULM will be paired with UT Arlington and Troy for the final round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship on Tuesday, April 19, with tee times set between 8:45-10 a.m. ET. The entire 54-hole Sun Belt Conference Championship is being streamed live on ESPN+. Live scoring also is available via Golfstat.
