Warhawks Set for SBC Track & Field Championship

MONROE, La. – The ULM track and field team opens the postseason Thursday through Saturday at the Sun Belt Conference Championship in Lafayette.
 
Events begin at 9 a.m. Thursday with the start of the decathlon with the heptathlon to follow at 9:30. Field events start at noon with track events at 7:10 p.m. Events continue at 9 a.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Coverage of all three days will be provided on ESPN+ with a link to live results available on the track and field schedule page at ULMWarhawks.com.
 
Among the Warhawks, Keith Roberson is set to compete in the 100 and 200-meter dash this weekend. He is the reigning Sun Belt Conference champion in the 60 from the indoor season. The men's 200 preliminary race is at 8:15 p.m. Thursday and the 100 prelim is at 6:15 p.m. Friday.
 
Freshman Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi, the school record holder in the triple jump, will compete in both the long jump and the triple jump. The long jump is at 12:30 p.m. Friday while the triple jump follows at 2 p.m. Saturday.
 
Rebekka Schubert, who was third in the SBC indoor meet in the pentathlon, will compete in the heptathlon, with events beginning at 9:30 a.m. Thursday and continuing Friday.
 
School-record holder Kimone Campbell is scheduled to compete in the 800 and the 4x400 relay. The 800 prelims are set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, while the 4x400 is scheduled for 6:55 p.m. Saturday.
 
Freshman Ali Eren Unlu is slated to compete in the high jump at 2 p.m. Saturday.
