MONROE, La. – The ULM Indoor and Beach Volleyball teams have each earned the 2021-22 Team Academic Award from the United States Marine Corps and American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Warhawk Beach Volleyball also was listed on the Team Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes teams which finish in the top 20% nationally in team grade-point average, for the second consecutive season and third time overall. The beach volleyball team also earned a spot on the Honor Roll in 2017.
The awards, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honor volleyball teams that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale.
The Warhawk beach volleyball program has earned the Team Academic Award in six consecutive seasons, dating back to 2017. It is one of seven beach programs to earn six consecutive Team Academic Awards. ULM is one of 13 beach programs at all collegiate levels to be listed on the Team Academic Honor Roll.
ULM's indoor volleyball program also has earned the Team Academic Award in six consecutive seasons and has picked up the honor in seven of the last nine seasons.
