MONROE, La. – The ULM cross country team travels to Alabama Friday for its fifth meet of the year – the Crimson Classic. The meet starts at 8:30 a.m. for the men and 9:20 a.m. for the women.
The field for the Crimson Classic includes top-ranked South region teams Alabama, Florida State and Auburn. Teams from the South-Central region include New Orleans and Central Arkansas. The ULM women's team ranks as the No. 15 team in the South-Central region.
Last weekend in the Mook 4 Invitational, the Warhawks placed first in both men's and women's races. It's the second time in 2023 where both teams have placed first; they have placed in the top four in every meet this fall.
Two freshmen – Carlo Martinez-Jaramillo and
Chase Gunn – have been the top two runners for the ULM men's team this season. Martinez-Jaramillo finished in first place last weekend and was the top ULM runner at the McNeese Stampede last month. Gunn placed first at the Warhawk XC Festival last month.

Kimone Campbell and Junior
Eliana Battle have led the way for the ULM women. Campbell finished in first last weekend and placed second at McNeese State. Battle placed first overall at the Warhawk XC Festival.
