Tennis Competes at Golden Eagle Invite

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The ULM tennis Team competed in the Golden Eagle Fall Invite Friday and Saturday at Southern Miss.
 
In flight two of singles, Alice Klinteby defeated Zuzana Pavelekova 4-3 from Jackson State. She lost to Sze Kuan Lim from Southern Miss in two sets (6-1, 6-3).
 
In flight three, Giovanna Pereria beat Hannah Chambers from Southern Miss in two sets (6-1, 6-2) and then lost a two-set match to Aneglina Blinova from USM (6-3, 6-2) She lost the third-place match to Gabriella Danielssan from USM (6-2, 6-0).
 
In the fourth flight, Tamara Bachmann and Raquel Alvaro both lost in the quarterfinals. Bachmann lost in two sets to Martina Zarza from JSU (6-3, 6-3) and Alvaro lost in three sets to Bente Bierma from Southeastern Louisiana (6-3, 2-6, 10-5).
 
In flight one of the doubles, Alvaro and Pereria lost to Ada Karabacack and Kal Going from North Alabama 6-0. In flight two, Klinteby and Bachmann lost to Blinova and Melannia Vashkevich 6-2.
 
The Warhawks continue play when they travel to Lafayette to compete in the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational from Friday, November 3 through Saturday, November 4.
