MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team goes on a three-match road swing to south Louisiana, facing New Orleans at 2 p.m. Friday, Tulane at 1 p.m. Saturday and Nicholls at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
ULM (1-1) won its first dual under head coach Ivone Alvaro last Friday with a 4-3 victory against Missouri State. The Warhawks won the doubles point with
Alessandra Anghel and
Alice Klinteby posting a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles against Missouri State's Mary Houston and Tiera Jarmond and clinched the point at No. 3 doubles as
Mackenzie King and
Giovanna Pereira defeated MSU's Sandra Lukacova and Juliette Robinson, 6-4. ULM won singles matches with
Oleksandra Balaba at No. 2 singles, Klinteby at No. 3 singles and Pereira at No. 4 singles.
New Orleans is 2-0 on the season after defeating North Alabama, 7-0, last Friday and Southern, 5-2, on Tuesday. Tulane is 1-2 with a 7-0 loss at No. 5 Texas A&M on Jan. 20 and a 5-0 loss at No. 1 Texas on Jan. 22. The Green Wave defeated Southern, 7-0, on Jan. 28. Nicholls is 1-1 with a 5-2 loss to North Alabama on Saturday and a 5-2 win over Loyola New Orleans on Tuesday.
