MONROE, La. – The ULM Indoor Track & Field teams compete at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships Monday and Tuesday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Events start at 10 a.m. Monday with the women's pentathlon, with field events starting at 1:30 p.m. and track events at 3:05 p.m. Action resumes at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the conclusion of the men's heptathlon with field events at 11:15 a.m. and track events at 1:30 p.m.
On the men's side, top contenders include:
Ali Eren Unlu in the high jump (first in SBC at 7-2.5, 2.20 meters);
Jakob Fudge in the shot put (fourth in SBC at 58-10.25, 17.94 meters);
Jay Louison-Roe (fourth in SBC at 49-4.25, 15.04 meters);
Joseph McEvoy in the long jump (fourth in SBC at 23-5.5, 7.15 meters) and heptathlon (fourth in SBC at 5,133 points); and
Juwan Blignaut in the mile (fifth in SBC at 4:11.01)
On the women's side, top contenders include:
Olaia Becerril Alvarez in the long jump (first in SBC at 20-3.75, 6.19 meters);
Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi in the triple jump (first in SBC at 42-0.5, 12.81 meters);
Lisa Warfvinge in the triple jump (third in SBC at 41-4.5, 12.61 meters);
Claudine Raud-Gumiel in the pentathlon (fourth in SBC at 3,660 points); and
Kimone Campbell in the 800 meters (fifth in SBC at 2:12.32).
