MONROE, La. – ULM tennis continues Sun Belt Conference play on Saturday against the Ragin' Cajuns at Heard Stadium. First serve is set for noon.
The Warhawks are 2-11 overall and 0-2 in the SBC after a 6-1 loss at Marshall last Saturday and a 4-0 loss at App State on Sunday.
Giovanna Pereira leads the team with nine singles wins, picking up ULM's only point last weekend against Marshall. She has played primarily in the No. 3, 4 and 5 spots. She also leads the team with eight doubles wins.
Alice Klinteby is second on the team with seven singles wins, playing primarily in the No. 2 or 3 slots, and has totaled six doubles wins, good for second on the team.
Alessandra Anghel has five singles and five doubles wins while playing in the top position in singles and doubles.
The Ragin' Cajuns are 5-5 overall and 0-2 in the SBC after losing 4-0 to No. 24 Old Dominion and 5-2 to James Madison in Lafayette last weekend. Angelique Berrat and Carla Urchoeguia lead the team with six singles wins each, while Berrat sitting at 4-0 at No. 3 singles and Urchoeguia at 5-3 at No. 2 singles. The duos of Angel Santiago and Momoko Yoshimura and Berrat and Urchoeguia are each 4-3, with Berrat and Urchoeguia playing at No. 1 and Santiago and Yoshimura at No. 2.
