MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team continues Sun Belt Conference play by visiting Arkansas State. First serve is set for 11 a.m. Saturday in Jonesboro.
The Warhawks are 2-12 overall and 0-3 in the SBC after a 5-2 loss to the Ragin' Cajuns last Saturday at Heard Stadium.
Giovanna Pereira leads the team with nine singles wins. She has played primarily in the No. 3, 4 and 5 spots. She also leads the team with nine doubles wins after teaming with
Alice Klinteby for a win on court three last week.
Klinteby is second on the team with eight singles wins, playing primarily in the No. 2 or 3 slots, and has totaled seven doubles wins, good for second on the team.
Alessandra Anghel has six singles and five doubles wins while playing in the top position in singles and doubles.
Arkansas State is 1-8 on the season and 0-3 in the SBC after a 7-0 loss to South Alabama last Saturday. The Red Wolves lost 7-0 at Marshall on March 12 and 4-0 to App State on March 11. Their only win is a 5-2 victory over Arkansas Tech on Feb. 25. Sarah Millard is 1-6 playing on court one, while Rebecca Brody is 1-6 on court two. Anna Borovinskaya and Brody have combined for a pair of doubles wins.
