JONESBORO, Ark. – The ULM tennis team picked up its first Sun Belt Conference win of the season with a resounding 6-1 win at Arkansas State on Saturday.
 
ULM took the doubles point as Alice Klinteby and Giovanna Pereira won on court three against Anna Borovinskaya and Abigail Thurmer, 6-1, and Oleksandra Balaba and Mariam Hatem defeated Rebecca Brody and Yasmine Humbert on court two, 7-6 (7-5).
 
In singles play, the ULM lead moved to 2-0 as Giovanna Pereira won against Sofia Vdovychenko, 6-0, 6-1. Alessandra Anghel's victory on court one moved ULM to the brink of victory, defeating Sarah Millard, 6-1, 6-1. ULM sealed the win on court three as Angela Del Campo Suarez defeated Thurmer, 6-1, 6-2. Alice Klinteby claimed a win on court two over Brody, 6-1, 6-4. Tamara Bachmann took court six over Borovinskaya, 6-2, 6-2. Arkansas State won on court five, as Humbert knocked off Hatem, 6-2, 3-6, 10-3.
