NEW ORLEANS – The ULM Beach Volleyball team wrapped up their regular season at the Privateer Invitational at New Orleans, going 4-0 on the weekend, finishing the regular season with an astounding record of 30-2.
Avery Reynolds and
Claire Williamson also recorded 30 wins playing at the No. 4s for the entire season. It is the most wins by a pair and a freshman in ULM beach volleyball history.
The weekend kicked off with a 4-1 win over Southeastern. The Beck sisters, Kaitlyn and Kaylie, at the No. 5, defeated Mabry Ward and Ysabella Lockwood, 21-12, 21-16. Reynolds and Williamson brought in a win at the No. 4 over Harlee Tupper and Alexis Logarbo, 21-17, 21-18.
Rylin Adams and
Madeline Marquez clinched the match at the No. 2 with a win over Mia McKinney and Carley Petty, 21-14, 21-19.
Tamsie Black and
Brooke Hoven at the No. 3 took their game the distance against Jackie McGee and Eryn Wilks, 19-21, 21-11, 15-5. The only loss of the match came at the No. 1 with Jolie Hidalgo and Meagan Scuderi defeating
Kaitlyn Nowak and
Julia Blazek, 21-18, 21-18.
The Warhawks closed Thursday off with a 3-2 win over UNO for the second time this year. Reynolds and Williamson at the No. 4 made quick work of the Privateers, defeating Valentina Echeverri and Rita Zecchin, 21-12, 21-15.
Kaitlyn Beck and
Kaylie Beck defeated Serena Baumgart and Ivana Carvalho Peixe, 24-22, 21-13, at the No. 5 to go up 2-0 in the match.
Brooke Hoven and
Tamsie Black clinched the match at the No. 3 with a win over Valerie Vujnovich and Hannah Volpi, 21-16, 21-16. The Privateers brought in their only two wins at the No. 1 and 2s. The No. 1s, Maria Ozaeta and Ania Esarte defeated Nowak and Blazek, 21-14, 21-17, and the No. 2s, Trinity Jackson and Alexa Spartz, defeated Adams and Marquez, 21-16, 21-12.
On the second day of the Invitational, the Warhawks shook up their pairs, making changes at the No. 1s and the No. 2s. They defeated Stephen F. Austin 4-1 for the second time in back-to-back weekends. The No. 4s, Reynolds and Williamson, brought in the first win, defeating Olivia Duhon and Kelly Johnson, 21-18, 19-21, 16-14. Kaitlyn and

Abigail Elder and Rylee Erwin at the No. 5s, 21-16, 21-16. The No. 3s, Hoven and Black, were defeated by Lizzie Denyer and Madison Hall, 21-14, 23-21. The match was clinched for ULM at the No. 2s by Marquez and Nowak with a win over Natalie Bennett and Chloe Culver 21-19, 14-21, 15-12. The No. 1s, Adams and Blazek, completed the match, beating Madison Morrow and Hannah Ogden, 21-18, 22-20.
ULM finished the weekend with a big win over Southeastern, taking the match, 3-2. Southeastern jumped out to an early lead with Jackie McGee and Eryn Wilks taking the win at the No. 3, defeating Hoven and Black, 21-18, 21-12. Nowak and Marquez at the No. 2 tied the match with a win over Mia McKinney and Carley Petty, 21-13, 21-18.

The tournament closed the door on the regular beach season, but more is to come as the Inaugural Sunbelt Beach Volleyball Championships are set to begin April 26 in Huntsville, Alabama. The Warhawks will head into the conference tournament with a record of 30-2 and 3-0 against in-conference opponents.
