MONROE, La. – The ULM men's and women's track & field teams were named All-Academic Teams, while
Olaia Becerril Alvarez,
Kimone Campbell,
Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi,
Lisa Warfvinge,
Joseph McEvoy and
Callan Saldutto were each named All-Academic Athletes by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Thursday, July 13.
For teams to be named an All-Academic Team, the cumulative grade-point average for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA squad list for indoor and outdoor track and field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. The ULM men's track and field team had a cumulative GPA of 3.17, while the women posted a 3.36 GPA.
Individuals must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, and must have completed at least two semesters at the nominating institution. Also, student-athletes must have finished the season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event or in the top 48 in any championship relay event for the most recent indoor season. Student-athletes must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Alvarez is pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, Campbell is working on a bachelor's degree in general studies, Mbuyi is working on a bachelor's degree in modern language and Warfvinge is seeking a bachelor's degree in communication. McEvoy is pursuing a bachelor's degree in general studies and Saldutto is seeking a bachelor's degree in accounting.
