CLINTON, Miss. – The ULM cross country team started the 2023 campaign at the Mississippi College Opener on Friday.
The men finished in fourth place out of 15 schools with a score of 125. The women also finished fourth place out of 13 schools with a score of 105.
For the men,
Chase Gunn was the top performer. He recorded a time of 15:50.94 with eight points and placed ninth.
Brayden Ortiz finished in 16:27.29 with 18 points.
Rojs Puks had a time of 16:37.17 and 22 points.
Juwan Blignaut produced a 17:25.04, and
Jay Parker had a time of 17:36.84.
Reid Guirlando had a time of 18:46.84.
On the women's team,
Eliana Battle finished ninth with a time of 18:52.61 and eight points.
Kimone Campbell placed 14th with a time of 19:10.90 and 13 points.
Ansley Long produced a time of 19:43.53 and 20 points.
Anna Naff had a time of 20:36.83.
Jalynn Lozano timed at 21:04.71, and
Emily Allen finished in 22:30.23.
The Warhawks return to action on September 16th when they host the ULM Warhawks Cross Country Festival at 8:45 a.m.
