HUNTSVILLE, Al – The ULM cross country team competed in the crowded Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama on Friday.
The men's team finished 17
th out of 47 teams. It beat out teams including South Florida, Memphis, Western Kentucky, and Sun Belt Conference competitor Troy. Carlo Martinez-Jaramillo finished in 72
nd place with a time of 25:18.49 in the men's 8k. Reigning Sun Belt Runner of the Week
Chase Gunn also finished in the top 100 with a time of 25:25.95.
Juwan Blignaut,
Rojs Puks, and
Landon Spears finished in the top 125 for the Warhawks.
The women placed 27
th out of 49 teams.
Ansley Long finished with an 18:34.81 time in the women's 5k.
Anna Naff finished with a time of 18:54.6, and
Sohalia Schoen finished with a 19:39.70 time.
The Warhawks are back in action on Saturday, October 5 when they head to Ruston to compete in the Louisiana Tech Mook 4 Invite.
