HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The ULM tennis team (3-15, 0-11 Sun Belt) dropped their final match of the season to Southern Miss (5-13, 1-10 Sun Belt) on Saturday afternoon (April 19) to complete the 2025 season. After claiming the doubles point and a forfeited singles match, the Golden Eagles picked up two singles wins to win, 4-2. But before ULM fell, they collected two singles matches.

Sakura Sudo and Miranda Xu claimed the 6-3 win over
Mariam Hatem and
Tingyi Li on the first court, with Hannah Chambers and Malannia Vashkevich going unfinished with
Enna Krnjic and
Camila Molina Barranco due to a won by walkover third doubles match.Â

On court six, a point was clinched for Southern Miss through a forfeit, leaving only two more points left to clinch the win.
Enna Krnjic defeated Talia Wunnenberg in a win by default and
Mariam Hatem defeated Angelina Blinova in straight sets to allow ULM to hold on in the fight, a 2-2 score. Sakura Sudo defeated
Mariia Iordanova in straight sets, Miranda Xu doing the same with
Tingyi Li on court three to secure the 4-2 win.
