SBC Field Athlete of the Week (March 23, 2016)

2016 Outdoor: Silver medal in the triple jump at 15.45m, and fourth-place in the long jump with a mark of 7.58m at the SBC Championships – racked up 13 points total, second-highest on the team… the only Warhawk to compete in two events at NCAA East Regionals for the second year in a row and placed 31st in the long jump with a score of 7.24m and 20th in the triple jump at 15.60m... third-place in the triple jump and sixth-place in the long jump (7.12m) at the Carl Kight Invitational… third-place in the triple jump (15.70m) and sixth in the long jump (7.20m) at the Jim Mize Invitational… top-five in the triple jump (15.11m) and sixth-place in the long jump (7.11m) at the LSU Alumni Gold… top-five in the long jump (7.16m) at the Jace LaCoste Invite… leaped for a mark of 6.72m in the long jump and 14.35m in the triple jump at the prestigious Texas Relays

2016 Indoor: Top-five in the long jump (7.33m) and sixth-place in the triple jump (14.89m) at the SBC Championships… runner-up in the triple jump (14.78m) and third-place in the long jump with a score of 7.11m at the KMS Invitational… third-place in the long jump with a mark of 7.00m at the season-opening Texas A&M Invitational… placed seventh in both the long jump (7.02m) and triple jump (14.38m) at the South Alabama Invite

2015 Outdoor: Runner-up in the triple jump with a personal-record leap of 15.36m and also took fourth in the long jump with a mark of 7.51m at the SBC Championships… came one spot away from the NCAA Finals in the long jump after finishing 13th at NCAA East Regionals with a mark of 7.49m... the only Warhawk to compete in two events at NCAA East Regionals as he also landed at 14.70m in the triple jump to take 41st... champion of the long jump with a season-best of 7.65m at the Leon Johnson Invitational… champion of the long jump (7.24m) at the Jim Mize Invitational… champion of the long jump (7.34m) and fourth-place in the triple jump (14.41m) at the Carl Kight Invitational… champion of the triple jump (14.42m) and runner-up in the long jump (7.40m) at the Demon Invite… third-place in the long jump (7.46m) at the McNeese Cowboy Relays… finished eighth in the top section of the Texas Relays with a long jump of 7.46m… took fourth in the long jump (6.97m) at the UCA Open

2015 Indoor: Finished fourth in the long jump with a season-best of 7.35m at the SBC Championships and recorded a 13.91m in the triple jump… runner-up in the long jump (7.26m) at the Vulcan Invite… runner-up in the long jump (7.24m) at the UAB Blazer Invitational… bronze medal in the long jump (7.18m) and fourth-place in the triple jump (14.39m) at the Texas A&M Invitational… tied for third in the long jump (7.17m) and tallied a 13.78m in the triple jump at the Samford Invitational

2014 Outdoor: Runner-up in the long jump with a personal-record leap of 7.88m at the SBC Championships and also set a personal-record in the triple jump (14.72)… tallied a 7.21m mark in the long jump at NCAA East Regionals, becoming just one of four ULM student-athletes to represent the Warhawks at the meet… runner-up in the long jump (7.67m) at the Leon Johnson Invitational… third-place in the long jump (7.26m) at the McNeese Challenge… third-place in the long jump (6.97m) at the UCA Open… took fourth in the long jump (6.94m) at the Memphis Invitational… posted a 6.78m in the long jump and 13.63m in the triple jump at the Carl Knight Invitational… leaped for a 6.45m mark in the long jump at the Jim Mize Invitational

2014 Indoor: Placed third in the long jump (7.03m) and top-5 in the triple jump (14.11m) at the KMS Invitational… took third in the long jump (6.96m) at the Texas A&M Invitational… recorded a 6.23m leap in the long jump at the Vulcan Invite… finished seventh in the long jump (6.98) at the SBC Championships

2013 Outdoor: Triple jump champion (14.28m) at the Louisiana Classics... runner-up in the long jump with a personal-best of 7.32m at the McNeese Relays… finished 11th in the triple jump with a personal-best of 14.61m, and 12th in the long jump (7.05m) at the SBC Championships… top-5 in the long jump (7.13m) at the SFA Invitational… seventh in the long jump (6.77m) at the Samford Invitational

2013 Indoor: Recorded a top-five finish in the long jump at 6.99m at the McNeese Invitational, a team best on the season… sixth in the long jump (6.99m) and 11th in the triple jump (13.91m) at the SBC Championships at 6.99m... season-best of 13.99m in the triple jump at the Samford Invitational

Prep: Attended Plano East High School, where he played football, basketball and track…All-district in football his senior season…Played quarterback and  threw for 2,400 yards, passed for 18 touchdowns and ran for nine scores his senior year.

Personal: Born on April 8, 1994…Son of Fred and Renee Wesley…Has an older brother, Brandon...Older sister’s name is Akilah…Brother, Brandon, played quarterback at Bucknell University.
