PREP: Attended Llano High School in Corpus Christi, Texas … a multi-sport athlete that competed in football, basketball, powerlifting and track … finished off his freshman season as an area qualifier (shot put, discus) and a district champion (discus) recording season bests of 47-feet, 6-inches (shot put) and 143-feet, 5-inches (discus) … improved his distance as a sophomore, posting 53-feet mark in shot put and 145-feet, 8-inches in discus … ended sophomore slate as district area champion (shot out) and regional qualifier (discus) … continued progress as a junior as he emerged with district, area and regional title in shot put, highlighted by a season best of 54-feet, 9-inches … junior season in discus resulted in area and district championships as well as a third-place in state, including 166-feet, 11-inch toss as season-best … drew his career to a close with an area and regional title in shot put and area championship in discus … senior year he managed a heave of 57-feet, 3.5-inches in shot put and a 170-foot, 3-inch heave in discus … four-year letterwinner in football who was honored as first team all-district (2016) and Lineman of the Year (2017, 2018) … played one season of basketball … competed in powerlifting on two occasions, placing fourth in region two 242’s.
