SENIOR (2021): Katie McKay was paired with three ULM teammates over the course of the season, but had the most success alongside Anna Demmer as the pair earned the third-most wins (15) of any Warhawk tandem in 2021 … McKay also played one match with Ina Gosen and one alongside Kayla Gallant, both resulting in wins … with Demmer at her side, the duo notched 10 wins as a No. 3 seed and five as a No. 2 seed for ULM … McKay and Demmer closed out their opposition in two sets on nine occasions, including a 21-18, 21-19 win in their first match of the season against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s tandem of Mary Dodge and Taylor Horsfall … they grabbed two more victories in February play against Houston Baptist and were singlehandedly responsible for the only Warhawk point against No. 1 LSU as they downed the second-seeded pair of Reilly Allred and Claire Coppola, marking the first-ever ULM point as a CCSA member ... competing as the No. 2 pair on March 12th, they earned a 21-11, 21-5 win over Hendrix … they moved to the No. 3 seed on March 13th and claimed three straight wins against New Orleans, Central Arkansas and Southeastern Louisiana, helping ULM to its longest winning streak of the slate—three matches ... on March 19th McKay and Demmer came through with a three-set win over Stephen F. Austin, key in helping ULM to a 3-2 win, before adding a two-set win over Texas A&M-Kingsville the following day … they added their second CCSA win of the slate against Missouri State’s Parker McAllen and Kylee Davis … picked up a three-set victory against Southern Miss’ tandem of Breleigh Favre and Kellie Garraway on April 2nd, marking their final CCSA victory of the season … on April 9th the tandem added wins over New Orleans and Spring Hill as the No. 3 seed, the final of the regular season … the following afternoon, as the No. 2 seed against Central Arkansas, McKay and Demmer posted a 21-19, 22-20 win to pick up their 15th win of the slate.Â
2020 (BEACH-JUNIOR): Played three matches over the course of the season … made her season debut against Florida State on February 21st, alongside teammate Elizabeth Moreland, but Lexi McKeown/Keara Rutz earned the 21-7, 21-11 win … paired with Ina Gosen to face Kinsley Hanback/Kellie Garraway (Southern Miss.), who emerged 21-10, 21-10 … took to the court as the fifth seed, alongside Gosen, in a March 7th match with Leanne Sorrel/Taylor Hurst (Spring Hill), who came away with the 23-25, 24-22, 15-7 win.Â
2019 (BEACH SOPHOMORE): Made her collegiate debut on March 4 when she teamed with Elizabeth Moreland to face Kylie Kvam/Demi McInnis (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi), who emerged 21-23, 23-21, 15-9 … paired with Aubrey Brooks on March 23, facing the Texas A&M-Kingsville tandem of Nicole Murff/Christina Gragasin, who emerged 21-11, 21-13.Â
2018 (BEACH FRESHMAN): Did not play in any matches over the course of the season.Â
2018 (INDOOR-JUNIOR): Played in 91 of the team’s 104 sets, ranking first in digs (295) and digs / set (3.24), while handing out 63 assists and recording 14 service aces, which ranked her third on the team … reached double figure digs on 15 occasions over the course of the slate … opened the campaign with three straight double-digit dig outings, including 14 against Mississippi State (Aug. 24) and Mississippi Valley State (Aug. 25) … emerged with 16 digs against Northwestern State (Aug. 31) … closed out a meeting with Sun Belt Conference rival Troy (Oct 6) with 21 digs … began a four-match stretch of double-digit digs against Arkansas State (Oct. 13), closing with 14 … managed 20 digs against Georgia State (Oct. 18) … emerged with 12 and 13 digs against Georgia Southern (Oct. 19) and UT-Arlington (Oct. 26), respectively … followed up a 14-dig performance at Jackson State (Oct. 30) with a single-match season-high 22 digs against Louisiana-Lafayette (Nov. 2) … came through with 18 digs in clashes with Louisiana-Lafayette (Nov. 4) and Little Rock (Nov. 10).
2017 (FEATHER RIVER COLLEGE):Â Competed in 32 matches and 101 sets...Tallied 34 service aces on the year, and lead the team in digs with 491...Named to the All Golden Valley Conference 1st team.
2016 (FEATHER RIVER COLLEGE):Â Competed in 26 matches and 91 sets...Tallied 25 service aces on the year, and lead the team in digs with 391. ...Named to the All Golden Valley Conference 1st team.
PREP:Â Attended Terra Nova High School in Pacifica, CA.... Was named MVP as a senior as well as team captain. Received first team all-league as a junior and a senior.... Named 2nd team all league as a freshman and sophomore. Also participated in track and Chemistry Club...Graduated with honors. Played club volleyball for San Francisco Juniors for head coach Louie Valiao.
