ULM SAND VOLLEYBALL COURTS
Opened: 2010
In August 2010 the Warhawk volleyball program proudly announced the opening of two brand new sand volleyball courts on the ULM campus. Located directly behind the tennis courts at Hear Stadium. The ULM Sand Volleyball courts are one of the few sand volleyball facilities in the nation that belong exclusively to the intercollegiate volleyball program and only one in the region.
The Warhawks train both indoors and on the sand courts utilizing the benefits of practicing on sand for cross-training purposes as well as for minimizing physical wear on the student-athlete. The courts are also open to ULM students and the community. The Warhawk hosted the inaugural Sand Volleyball Tournament during ULM's 2010 Week of Welcome and plan to make the event a yearly occurrence.
Kelly's Court
In memory of former Warhawk, Meghan McCoy's brother Kelly, who was killed in a car accident, the black court is also referred to as "Kelly's Court" and his number as a football player (55) is posted at the court whenever it is in use.
