Chris Warren is in his second season as an assistant coach for the ULM cross country and track and field teams.
 
During the 2017-18 season, Warren helped coach All-Louisiana selection Elias Keter. Along with Keter, the Warhawks saw succes in multiple events under Warren's coaching, including the men's distance medley relay and 800m during the indoor season and the men's 800 m, 5K, and 10K.
 
Warren previously spent three-plus years as the head cross country and track and field coach at Delaware Military Academy in Wilmington, Delaware. During his tenure, he led the women’s cross country teams to back-to-back Diamond State Athletic Conference Championships in 2014 and 2015 and guided the men’s cross country team to the conference title in 2016. The 2014 women’s cross country team also finished second in the 2014 Division 2 State Championships.
 
Warren coached 25 combined all-conference performers (15 women and 10 men), three conference champions (two men and one woman), eight all-county picks (five women and three men) and six all-state selections (three women and three men). He also helped develop the women’s 2014 indoor 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter state champion, who later became the outdoor 3,200-meter state champion. In addition, Warren tutored the women’s 2015 outdoor state champion in the 800 meters.
 
A native of Newark, Delaware, Warrant studied psychology at the University of Delaware where he competed for the men’s cross country and track club teams. He became a two-time All-American for the cross country club team (second team in 2012; first team in 2013) and earned Outdoor All-America honors in the 5,000-meter run.
