2016 Indoor: Ran a 7.52 in the 60m at the season-opening Texas A&M Invitational

Prep: Lettered four years in both track & field and baseball... three-time All-District in track and four-time All-Conference... won state in the high jump his senior year and finished third his junior year...100m state qualifier his senior year... state champion in the 4x100m in 2012... placed eighth in the state in the high jump in 2012... placed sixth in the 4x100m in state his senior year and 13th his junior year...  three-time Drake Relays Qualifier in the high jump and once in the 4x100m... 2015 IHSAA Bernie Saggau award winner, presented to the Iowa HS student-athlete who best exemplifies a patriotic spirit with strong religious and moral views in addition to professing the qualities of honesty, integrity and sportsmanship while believing both the games and life should be conducted by the rules... helped the track team to runner-up honors in state in 2012... listed in the honors section at state... school record holder in the high jump on his final high school jump... Personal: Full name is Cal David Zahn... nickname is Skunk... born July 24, 1996... son of John "Leo" and Michelle Zahn... has a younger brother, Cole... grandfather John George Zahn was a pitcher for the Chicago White Sox and led all of baseball in strikeouts in 1962... both of his parents played as an infielder (baseball/softball) at Simpson College... related to Steve Zahn who was an actor in "Daddy Day Care"... enjoys writing screenplays and adventuring outdoors... majoring in health studies with a minor in spanish
