FRESHMAN (2019): Participated in 11 meets over the course of the season … made her collegiate debut at the Ted Nelson Invitational (Jan. 11), notching a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (9.19) and a 10th-place outing in the long jump (17-feet, 9 ¾-inches) … opened February with a third-place outing in the long jump competition the LSU Bayou Bengal (Feb. 1), stretching herself out for 18-feet, 5-inches … followed that with a fifth-place outing in the long jump at the Samford Bulldog Open (Feb. 9) with a leap of 17-feet, 9-inches … came through with a trio of Top-10 outings at the McNeese Louisiana Challenge (March 9). She had a pair of second-place finishes in the long jump (18-feet, 5 ¼-inches) and 100-meter hurdles (14.71) as well as seventh in the 100-meter dash (12.53) … snagged third in the long jump (5.49 meters) and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (14.77) at the Louisiana Classics (March 16) … reached the podium in the long jump (19-feet, 4-inches) at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays (March 22) … came through with a sixth-place outing in the long jump (5.29 meters) at the Carl Kight Invitational (April 5) … emerged with a fifth-place performance in the long jump (5.60 meters) at the LSU Alumni Gold (April 20) … capped off the season with a sixth-place showing in the long jump (5.86 meters) at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships (May 11).Â
PREP: Attended Sardwich Secondary in Windsor, Ontario, Canada … a two-sport athlete that played basketball and ran track … made her presence felt immediately on the track team as she earned the city, regional and state championship in the long jump while placing third at the state championships in the 80 meter hurdles … ended her freshman season by setting school’s long jump record (5.52 meters) while earning Jumper of the Year for Athletics Ontario and a spot on the Team Ontario Youth National unit … capped off sophomore season by placing third in the hurdles on a city and state level … her sophomore season also resulted in regional championship for long jump and a spot on the Team Ontario Youth National unit … emerged with a state championship in long jump event and fifth-place finish in state 100 meter hurdles as a junior … established a new school long jump record as well as placing fourth at Canada Junior/Senior Nationals for long jump in junior campaign … closed out her senior season as the city, regional and state champion in both long jump and 100 meter sprint hurdles … Canadian Junior Champion in the long jump … established the school record in the long jump and 100 meter hurdle record as well as regional long jump record as a senior … earned Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors on the basketball court.
