Competed in five meets … Won the 3000 meters in 9:15.89 at the Mississippi State Maroon and White Invitational (April 29) … Placed second in a personal-best time of 15:57.56 at the Warhawk Classic (April 21) … Posted a personal-best time of 4:19.86 in the 1500 at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational (April 15).
2023 INDOOR (SOPHOMORE)
Competed in three meets … At the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 20-21), finished 18th in the 5000 meters in 16:26.33 and set an indoor personal best in the 3000 meters in 9:36.23 to place 26th.
2022 CROSS COUNTRY (SOPHOMORE)
Competed in five meets in the fall of 2022 … Set a personal best in the 7K in 23:22.0 to place 19th at the ULM Warhawk Invitational (Sept. 17) … Had a personal-best time in the 8K in 26:32.0 to place 33rd at the Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships (Oct. 28) … Set another personal best, this time in the 10K, in 36:12.0 to place 156th at the NCAA Division I South Central Region Cross Country Championships (Nov. 11).
2022 OUTDOOR (FRESHMAN)
Placed sixth and set a personal best in the 5000 meters at the Louisiana Classic (March 18) in 15:59.21 … Posted a new personal best in the 3000 meters in 9:15.32 at the LSU Battle on the Bayou (April 2).
2022 INDOOR (FRESHMAN)
Set a personal best in the mile at the LSU Bayou Bengal (Feb. 4) in 4:46.83 … Set an indoor personal-best time of 16:06.05 at the Samford Bulldog Open (Feb. 12).
2021 CROSS COUNTRY (FRESHMAN)
Made his ULM debut at the 2021 Warhawk Opener (Sept. 3), finishing 10th in the 5K race in 17:12.0 … Finished 11th at the Louisiana Tech Mook 4 Invite (Sept. 18), completing the four-mile course in 21:40.4 … Ran his first 8K race and established his personal best with a time of 27:21.5 at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival at Arkansas (Oct. 1, 2021) … Closed the season with his first 10K race, finishing in 36:43.2 at the NCAA Division I South Central Region Cross Country Championships at Texas A&M (Nov. 12).
MANY HS
Competed four years with the cross country and track teams at Many HS in Many, Louisiana before graduating in 2021…As a senior in 2020-21, he set a personal best of 16:50 in the 5K in cross country before running 17:00 in the Class 2A state meet…In his final track season, he set a personal record of 4:50 in the 1600 meters and 10:25 in the 3200 meters…As a junior in 2019, he set a then personal best of 16:55 in the 5K in cross country season…As a sophomore in 2018-19, he dropped his personal best in the 5K to 17:42 while running 5:00 in the 1600 and 10:59 in the 3200 in track…As a freshman in 2017-18, he set a personal best time in the 5K at 19:10 while running a 4:51 in the 1600 and 10:41 in the 3200 in track…Had a 4.0 GPA, was a member of Beta Club and on the quiz bowl team.

Born November 20, 2002 in Many, Louisiana…Son of Scott and Edie Gowen…Has four siblings: Amarick, Mary, Sheridan and Scott…Enjoys making music, including playing the bass, and reading…Majoring in biology with an emphasis in pre-med.
