Competed in two indoor meets … Completed the 3000 meters in 10:43.69 at the Ted Nelson Invitational (Jan. 14) … Finished the mile in 5:10.05 at the LSU Bayou Bengal (Feb. 4).
2021 CROSS COUNTRY (FRESHMAN)
Competed in two meets … Completed the four mile race at the Louisiana Tech Mook 4 Invitational (Sept. 18) in 24:48.4 … Also completed the 8K in 31:29.6 at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival (Oct. 1).
EASTWOOD HS
Six-time varsity letterwinner at Eastwood HS in El Paso, Texas, helping his team to Class 6A District Championship, Regional and State Runner-up finishes in 2020-21, and back-to-back Class 5A District, Regional and State Championships in 2018 and 2019…As a senior in 2020-21, illness impacted times, running a 15:51 5K, 9:54 in the 3200 meters and 4:29 in the 1600 meters while placing eighth in district, 20th at regionals and 19th at state…As a junior in 2019-20, ran a personal bests of 15:31 in the 5K and 15:22 in the three mile, while picking up his season-best times of 9:55 in the 3200 and 4:31 in the 1600, placing 10th at district, 31st at regionals and 21st at state…Team attended Nike South Regionals as a club, placing third and earned an at-large bid for Nike Nationals…As a sophomore in 2018-19, he set his top times of 16:20 in the 5K, 15:32 in the three mile, 10:21 in the 3200, 4:43 in the 1600 and 2:04 in the 800 as Eastwood won the Desert Twilight met and was fourth at the Woodbridge Classic…Helped Eastwood club to Nike South Regional Championship and were Nike Nationals qualifiers…Was an AP Scholar with Distinction, Top-10 (No. 6) in his class, was the recipient of the Deby Lewis Scholarship, a V.A.S.E. state qualifier, Future Business Leaders of America state qualifier, won the Trooper Award, and a member of National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America.
