Chris Pharis enters his second season as the General Manager of the Warhawk Athletic Sponsorships by Van Wagner, managing potential sponsorship opportunities for the ULM Athletic Department.
Pharis arrived at ULM after spending three seasons as the Corporate Partnerships Manager of the Biloxi Shuckers, AA-Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Prior to his time Biloxi, Pharis served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at West Virginia University. At West Virginia, Pharis was the primary media contact for the WVU women’s soccer and wrestling teams.
Pharis has also served as the Assistant Director of Media Relations at USA Baseball, where he was the primary media contact for the record-breaking 18U National Team at the 2018 COPABE Pan-American Championships and the 12U National Team at the 2019 WBSC U-12 World Cup. He oversaw all publicity efforts for the National Team Championships in Arizona and Florida and the Futures Invitational.
The Mill Creek, W.Va., native graduated from West Virginia in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and minors in business administration and communication studies. He obtained his master’s degree in communication studies with an emphasis in corporate and organizational communication from West Virginia in 2018.
