Damien Burger was hired as the Assistant Director of Compliance at ULM in 2025 after spending time with NAIA Headquarters as a legal intern.
While working with the NAIA, Burger drafted legal memorandums, focusing on the impact of NIL on the NAIA, as well as researching NAIA bylaws and resolving recruiting conflicts. He also worked as an intern for Mass Strategies for the University of Kansas, where he assisted in establishing the NIL collective for KU student-athletes.
Burger spent the 2021 baseball season with the Kansas City Monarchs, working as a gameday fan ambassador.
Burger received his bachelor's degree in communication studies with a minor in sport management from the University of Kansas in 2022. He went on to receive his juris doctor degree from Kansas in May 2024, becoming certified by the Kansas Bar in Sept. 2024.
