Elizabeth Owolabi

Elizabeth Owolabi, MAT, LAT, ATC, FMS, joined the ULM Sports Medicine staff in February 2026, where she serves as an athletic trainer for the football and baseball programs. She provides comprehensive care to student-athletes, including injury prevention, clinical evaluation, rehabilitation and the development of individualized return-to-play protocols, with an emphasis on athlete safety and performance.

Prior to ULM, Elizabeth served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Texas Southern, where she was the primary athletic trainer for the soccer and baseball programs. She was responsible for delivering daily medical coverage, coordinating care with physicians and coaching staff and maintaining detailed injury documentation to ensure compliance with institutional and NCAA standards.

Elizabeth gained valuable clinical experience through her time at Baylor, where she worked closely with the football team. During her clinical education, she worked with a wide range of sports, including volleyball, baseball, soccer, track & field and high school athletics, while also gaining experience in orthopedic settings. Her clinical skill set includes therapeutic modalities, soft tissue techniques, and concussion management using C3 Logix protocols.

A 2024 graduate of Baylor, Elizabeth earned both her bachelor's degree in health science studies and her master's degree in athletic training. She is a Board of Certification (BOC) certified and licensed athletic trainer.
