Volleyball Suffers 3-0 Setback at Louisiana-Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, La.?Louisiana-Lafayette committed just four errors as a team in a 3-0 (30-14, 30-16, 30-15) victory over ULM Monday night in Earl K. Long Gym.

Caroline Dufrene led the Ragin Cajuns (3-20, 2-6 Sun Belt) with 12 kills and hit .706 for the match, while Elizabeth Inman posted 10 kills.

The Warhawks (0-20, 0-7) were led by Jessica Ayodele's six kills and five each from Johanna Spreen, Stephanie Wardach and Mari O'Neal. ULM hit .066 (28-22-91) for the match, led by O'Neal's .273 (5-2-11).

Louisiana-Lafayette hit .470 with 43 kills and just the four errors in 83 attack attempts.

Illima Sam Fong paced ULM with 16 assists and seven digs, while Keshia Laws finished the match with six digs.

Kendra Hall ran the ULL offense dishing out 35 of its 38 assists on the match, while Erika Castro took charge on defense with 11 digs.

The Warhawks return home for four-straight Sun Belt matches beginning with Denver (10-9, 4-2) on Thursday night at 7:00 pm in the ULM Activity Center.
