MONROE, La. ? The ULM women's basketball team jumped out to a 21-2 first half lead and never looked back, defeating the Lady Tigers of East Texas Baptist 102-54 at Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Monday night in the teams lone exhibition contest of the season.

Junior Lottie Moore was one of five Warhawks to tally double figures in points after scoring a game-high 16 points. Moore added seven points and six steals in the effort.

Sophomore Jessie Carrier led off the ULM attack by scoring five straight points to start the game and the Warhawks never looked back. ULM went on a 19-0 run before ETBU could get on the scoreboard late in the game's eighth minute.

ULM
(1-0 Exhibition) used a suffocating full-court press defense to force 23 first half turnovers and take a 55-21 lead into the locker rooms. The Warhawks finished the first half with 12 team steals and three blocked shots.

In the second half it was more of the same for ULM. ETBU cut into the Warhawk lead after a modest 10-4 run to open the period, but the Lady Tigers were unable to get the game any closer than 30 points.

ULM
finished the game shooting 45 percent from the field off 36-of-80 shooting. In true exhibition game fashion, the Warhawk bench was pressed into extended action and performed well. The ULM reserves finished with 52 points, more than half of the team's total output.

Moore
was joined in double-figure scoring for ULM by seniors Dyamond Hogg (13) and Shannon Lloyd (12), Carrier (14) and sophomore Regena Jackson (12). Lloyd finished with team-high nine rebounds including five of the Warhawks 20 offensive boards.

Sade Stewart led three Lady Tigers in double figures with 15 points.

ULM
opens the regular season on Friday, Nov. 9 when it hosts McNeese State at 7 p.m. inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The game against the Cowgirls is the first of three straight regular season games at home for the Warhawks to start the season.
