Joelle had 13 kills and Robin Aaron added 11 to lead Arkansas
State over ULM
3-0 (30-23, 30-18, 30-22) Thursday night in Sun Belt volleyball action in the ULM Activity
Center.
Playing in the third to last match of her career, Stephanie
Hall led the Warhawks (1-29, 0-16 Sun Belt) with 10 kills and a .321 attack
percentage. The senior outside hitter
committed just one attack error in 28 attempts and also added four digs and
three blocks.
Arkansas
State (10-18, 6-10) hit.
312 as a team with three players hitting .400 or better. Joelle hit .684 with 13 kills and no errors
in 19 attack attempts.
Johanna Spreen added seven kills for ULM, while Candice Howell and Ilima Sam Fong
each had six. Sam Fong continued to be
an all-around star for the Warhawks with 29 assists and five digs to go along with her kill total.
Both teams were
dominant behind the service line with ASU recording 13 service aces and the
Warhawks registering 10. Kristen
Catalane had four to lead Arkansas State and Christy Tribble led ULM with five, four of which came in game
one.
The Warhawks continue their three match homestand to close
out the season with New Orleans
coming to town tomorrow night at 7:00 pm.
ULM
closes the season with UALR on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm and will host a free
clinic following the match.
