BATON ROUGE, La. --- The awards keep rolling in for junior Tony Hooper and the ULM men's basketball team as the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) named the Warhawks guard Player of the Week, announced Thursday morning.

Hooper averaged 22 points per game last week in three games, leading ULM to a Hawkeye Challenge victory and garnering the tournament's Most Valuable Player award. The Houston, Texas native scored 26 points in the opening round against host-Iowa to hand the Hawkeyes their second ever loss in the event and the first since the 1985 tournament. The win against Iowa also marked the first for ULM against a Big 10 opponent all-time.

Hooper scored 13 points against Rice in the championship game to make the Warhawks the third program to ever win the event.

Earlier in the week Hooper scored a season-high 27 points against Alcorn State in the team's only home game so far this season. The win against ASU improved ULM's home-court win streak to 15 games, the seventh longest active streak in the nation.

Hooper was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday morning.

ULM returns to action on December 11 when it travels to Thibodaux, La. to face former Southland Conference rival Nicholls State at 6:30 p.m. The game against the Colonels will mark the eighth time out of nine games so far this season that the Warhawks have played away from the friendly confines of Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
