NACOGDOCHES, Texas?The ULM
volleyball team dropped its final two matches of the Ladyjack Invitational
Saturday afternoon. Host Stephen F.
Austin downed the Warhawks 3-0 (30-9, 30-12, 30-15) in the opener and Northwestern State won the nightcap 3-2 (30-20, 30-22,
21-30, 29-31, 15-11).
Ilima Sam Fong dominated the match against Northwestern State
with a double-double posting 23 kills and 17 digs. Stephanie Hall (10, 10) and Megan Osborne
(10, 24) also turned in their first double-doubles of the season against the
Demons (2-5).
ULM (0-12) posted more kills
(62-55) and more digs (87-82) than Northwestern
State but was not able to
pick up its first win of the season.
Five Warhawks posted double-figure digs as Christy Tribble (19) and
Ashley Onley (13) joined Hall, Osborne and Sam Fong.
The Warhawks could never get things rolling against the
Ladyjacks (5-4) totaling just 22 kills compared to 26 errors. Hall led ULM with six kills, while Onley, Sam Fong and
Tribble all had seven digs.
ULM will get another chance
at the Demons on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm in Natchitoches, La.
