The Ragin' Cajuns took advantage of many Warhawk attacking errors to win sets one and three, 25-22 and 25-17. ULM answered back in set two. The Warhawks jumped out to an early 7-2 lead and never looked back. Throughout the first three sets there were no lead changes and only six ties.

The fourth set was a nail-biter featuring 17 ties and 11 lead changes. Neither team would lead in the set by more than three points.  Facing a 21-21 tie, ULL's Lindsay Brown served a pair off aces to start a final 4-1 run and give the Ragin' Cajuns a fourth-set win and a 3-1 match victory.
