MONROE, La.?Military Night sponsored by the National Guard and
Marsala Beverage at ULM's Warhawk Field is set for April 29 when the Warhawk baseball team squares off against Northwestern State.
The Warhawks will wear camouflage jerseys to commemorate the
night and the jerseys will be auctioned off following the game with all the proceeds
benefiting the ULM
baseball program.
The bidding will start at $125 for the one-of-a-kind
jerseys.
"This is going to be
a great night to come out and watch some exciting baseball and have a
lot of fun," ULM head coach Jeff Schexnaider said. "Hopefully we have
a big crowd as all the money we raise will go towards our program. I want to thank the National Guard and Marsala Beverage
for their support and encourage everyone in the community to come out
and support this team."
A National Guard member will throw out the first pitch and
patriotic music will be played at Warhawk Field throughout the night.
First pitch for the game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and
tickets can be purchased at the ULM
ticket office in Malone Stadium or by phone at 318-342-5463.
