ULM Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision at South Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. - The ULM women's soccer team fell at South Alabama, 1-0, on Friday evening (Oct. 23). Rebecca Falgout scored the lone goal of the contest for the Jaguars. Senior goalkeeper Mallory George made eight saves in goal for the Warhawks.

ULM (2-12-2, 1-7 Sun Belt) and South Alabama were scoreless for the first 38 minutes of the contest but the Jaguars broke the deadlock at the 38:13 mark when Falgout found the back of the net. Falgout's goal came from 30 yards out off an assist from Landi Wilson.

South Alabama (3-13-1, 1-7-1 Sun Belt) held a 9-2 shot advantage in the opening 45 minutes.

After the intermission, the Warhawks created more chances, registering five shots in the second stanza, but were unable to find a way past Jaguars goalkeeper Katie Berry. Berry made seven saves in the contest.

Sophomore forward Lindsey Tubbs registered a team-high two shots for ULM. Junior defender Samantha Cashman, junior forward Tiffany Bombard, junior defender Megan Payne, sophomore midfielder Kelly Browne and freshman forward Addison Adams each recorded a shot for the Warhawks. South Alabama outshot ULM, 18-7, in the contest.

The Warhawks will return to action on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 25) as they play their final road game of the regular season at Troy. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
