MONROE, La. - The ULM women's basketball team
returns to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum against
Troy. The game will be the second in three days for the Warhawks.
Fans can gain admittance into the game for
only $1, while select concessions will also be sold for $1, as part of the
Holiday Dollar Days Promotion.
In ULM's (6-6, 0-2 Sun Belt) last outing on Monday,
head coach Mona Martin tied the all-time coaching wins mark of 213, after the
Warhawks dropped Nicholls State 76-53. Jesse Carrier and Sannisha Williams each
scored 19 points to lead the attack. Carrier knocked down five triples, while
Williams recorded her fifth career double-double, 12 rebounds.
ULM led by as many as 31 points in the
contest and finished with its second-highest field goal percentage of the
season, 43.8 percent, on 28-of-64 shooting from the floor. Overall, all 12
players who dressed were able to see action.
Troy
(7-2, 1-0) enters Monroe on a four-game winning streak. The Trojans have been
extremely difficult to shoot against this season, as they enter ranked second
in the country in 3-point field percentage defense (.208) and fourth in field
goal percentage defense (.319). Overall, Troy is off to its second-best
nine-game start in school history since jumping to Division I ranks. Donette
McNair leads the Trojans with a double-double average, 13.3 points and 10.1
rebounds.
