NATCHITOCHES, La. ? After leading the ULM women's basketball program to its
first Sun Belt Conference Tournament victory and a 15-16 record, senior Lottie
Moore was named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Third Team, the
organization announced Friday afternoon.
Moore, a 5-foot-8 guard
from West Monroe, La., led the team in scoring (12.0 points per game), assists
(111 ? 3.6 per game), steals (70 ? 2.3 per game) and blocks (25). She also
grabbed the second most rebounds (166) on the squad. Moore was a constant on
both ends of the floor as she moved into eighth place all-time in ULM history in
steals (182) and 13th all-time in assists (257).
The senior finished her four-year
Warhawk career with 851 points, 520 rebounds, 257 assists and 182 steals.
During her final campaign, Moore topped double-digits in points on 19
occasions, including a season-high 23 during a road contest against South
Alabama. She also became the first player in ULM history to accumulate 300
points, 100 rebounds, 100 assists and 70 steals in a season.
Moore was also named to the all-Sun Belt
Conference Third Team announced in March.
LSU junior Allison Hightower was named
Louisiana Player of the Year and her teammate LaSondra Barrett earned Freshman
of the Year honors. Ronnie Howell was named Louisiana Coach of the Year after
leading LSU-Shreveport to its first ever NAIA National Tournament appearance
and a school record 27 wins. Alexis Green of Louisiana-Lafayette earned
Newcomer of the Year honors.
