BATON ROUGE, La.-ULM sophomore
place kicker Radi Jabour was named Louisiana Special Teams Player of the
Week, the Louisiana Sports Writers Association announced Tuesday afternoon.
Jabour, a native of LaPlace,
La., was a perfect 4-for-4 on his kick attempts in ULM's season opener at No. 2
Texas this past Saturday. He hit field goals of 24 and 21 yards and made both
of his extra point attempts. Jabour shared the weekly honor with Southeastern
Louisiana's freshman punter Beau Mothe.
This is Jabour's first-ever
weekly conference or state honor in his career. ULM players earned three LSWA
honors last season with all three coming on the defensive side of the ball.
Jabour and the Warhawks open
the home portion of their schedule on Saturday when they host Texas Southern in
Malone Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. and tickets are available by
visiting the ULM ticket office in Malone Stadium or by calling 318-342-3ULM.
