DENTON,
Texas - ULM fell 4-0 to North Texas in Sun Belt Conference play on Friday
evening at the Mean Green Soccer Field.
The
Warhawks (2-9-1, 0-3-0 Sun Belt) trailed 1-0 at the break, but North Texas
scored three goals in a six-minute span to extend its lead in the second half.
ULM struggled to get much going on the offensive end with just one shot in the
match.
North
Texas (6-5-1, 1-2-0 Sun Belt) took the early advantage in the fourth minute on
a goal from Michelle Young. The first half proved to be a strong defensive
battle on both sides as North Texas held just a 2-1 shots advantage at the
break.
The
Mean Green added to the lead in the 68th minute when Carly McDowell found the
back of the net to take a 2-0 advantage. July Lackey scored in the 70th minute for
North Texas, and McDowell rounded out the scoring in the 74th minute with her
second goal of the match.

continues its road trip against Denver on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.
