Women's Basketball Releases Summer Camp Dates

MONROE, La. - ULM head coach Mona Martin and the women's basketball program will be hosting their annual summer camps throughout the month of June. The ULM women's basketball camps are open to ages 6-17 and all ability levels. The camps are designed to teach and enhance basketball skills, while learning from some of the best coaches in the college basketball.

The Day Camp will run June 7-10, Elite Camp will run June 19-20, and the Team Camp June 21-24.

Camp staff includes ULM head coach Mona Martin, associate head coach EJ Ok, and assistant coach Gerline Guillaume. The staff has a combined 60 years of coaching experience.

Participants will be instructed on the fundamentals of basketball as well as defensive and offensive schemes that are used by the Warhawk basketball team.

"Our staff takes a lot of pride in teaching young women the fundamentals of basketball," Martin said. "These camps are a great recruiting tool for not only our program, but the university. Last year we had a lot of interest in our camps and I hope that they will continue to grow each summer."

Campers can also mail in the consent form with payment to 106 Fant-Ewing Coliseum, Monroe, LA 71209. The consent form can be found under the camps link on the women's basketball page at ulmathletics.com. Cost for the Elite Camp is $160 per person, cost of the Team Camp is $360 per team, and the Day Camp is $100 per person. Checks should be made payable to Warhawk Women's Basketball Camp.

ULM finished its season on Mar. 6 in the first of the Sun Belt Tournament in Hot Springs, Ark. Prior to its seasons end the Warhawks defeated North Texas on senior night. The Warhawks honored seniors Jesse Carrier, Shannon Davis, and Ashley Wallis for their dedicated careers to the program.
